HELEN NOCK
HELEN NOCK has now spent a weekend here finishing off some splendid new sculptures and waxing and burnishing the few tables on display already in the garden. Helen has a very intuitive way of working – seeing in her materials the possibilities of shapes to fashion into birds or abstract forms in which she inlays glass, ceramic shards and other found materials. Her base material is recycled slate, found in Cornish and other reclamation yards and seasoned wood, forming pedestals for some of the sculpture, discovered while beachcombing and on river banks.
