Melvyn Evans
Yew Tree Gallery

Master printmaker MELVYN EVANS takes us on a coastal tour around Britain in his fascinating linocut prints where figurative merges into abstract. Constantly experimenting with surface texture, Melvyn uses not only the traditional linocutting tools but finds ways of scratching, rubbing and etching into the lino for different effects ~ emulating the marks of erosion on rocks and expressing the inner history and spirit of the landscape.
Melvyn’s original prints are in editions of 60 and cost £210. The image size is 40 x 50cm and the hand made paper outer rim is 53 x 63cm.
