As Covid fears closed our Christmas exhibition early, we again show SALLY HOLMAN<\/strong>, who has been busily painting during the new year, both landscapes and Still Lifes. REECE INGRAM<\/strong> too has added to his collection of clay bird sculptures, after spotting Pipits and other shore birds in winter walks along the Tin Coast. GUY ROYLE<\/strong>, best known for his silver, gold and stone jewellery, introduces another facet of his artistic skills in a series of Japanese-style woodcuts, displayed on the walls of the Glasshouse gallery alongside new work from JILL FANSHAWE KATO<\/strong> and woven cushions by SUE MARSHALL<\/strong> and rugs by RHIAN WYMAN<\/strong>. HELEN NOCK<\/strong>, another versatile artist, has produced a striking collection of aluminium and silver earrings, brooches and shawl pins when the weather was too harsh for working outside on her sculptures and slate tables. There will, however, be a selection of these too in the gardens.<\/p>\n

Colour and opulence gleam from SUTTON TAYLOR<\/strong>\u2019s latest collection of lustrous ceramics, and MELVYN EVANS<\/strong>\u2019 subtle lino-cut prints look splendid on the main gallery walls. All these, plus new scarves by ALISON DUPERNEX<\/strong> and rich necklaces by RITA SERES<\/strong> bring renewed lift to the gallery after the winter months of closure.<\/p>\n

This is a shorter exhibition than usual as preparations are in hand for the extensive retrospective exhibition \u2018HOMAGE TO JOHN MALTBY<\/strong>\u2019, opening on 21st<\/sup> and 22nd<\/sup> May, when the book \u2018JOHN MALTBY \u2013 A Life of Creativity\u2019 will be launched to accompany the exhibits.<\/p>\n
