MELVYN EVANS<\/strong> has undoubtedly mastered the art of linocut printmaking! The textures and nuances of overlaid colour in his abstract\/figurative prints give a depth not usually associated with this genre of work. His colour tones touch on the palettes of those masterly printmakers of the \u201830s and \u201840s \u2013 Bawden, Ravilious, et al, yet Melvyn\u2019s work is in no way derivative and shows the freshness of a contemporary eye.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>
