ROBERT RACE<\/strong>\u2019s toys and automata have been exhibited and enjoyed for many a long year \u2013 so we are delighted to be showing them here, as truly fitting for an exhibition about JOY! This year he was awarded a gold medal at the renowned \u2018Heim und Handwerk\u2019 exhibition in Munich, where he has previously been selected to exhibit. Robert started off making dolls houses and painted toys which led on to a fascination with automata. Recycled materials and driftwood form the basis of his work but the complex mechanisms to initiate the movement take an engineer\u2019s mind.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>
