Growing up in the depths of North Yorkshire, EMILY SUTTON’s affinity with nature is evident in many aspects of her work. Her love of drawing led to a BA in Illustration at Edinburgh College of Art in 2008, followed quickly by a succession of commissions for illustrating children’s books, for which she is now justly renowned. Well-known too for her silkscreen and lithographic prints, Emily’s observation of the minutiae of daily life – whether in the kitchen or the garden – is beautifully interpreted also in her watercolours in a flowing graphic style and perfect perspective!
