All RUSSELL GEORGE WILSON’s work stems from his deep love of nature and the natural world. He trained in Graphic Design and initially worked as an illustrator before becoming a full-time artist, embracing the different mediums of painting, clay modelling and felted bird sculptures.  His subjects arise from daily walks in his native Derbyshire.  In his studio he paints from memory, recalling the essence of a place – often changed through recollection, which results in a personal and unique portrayal.
